Village Asakusa sits on the 2nd floor in Hanakawado, just far enough from the main crowds to feel like a little secret. Step upstairs and the noise of Asakusa softens, replaced by a relaxed, easygoing vibe that makes you slow down without trying. It’s a great stop between visiting Sensō-ji and strolling along the Sumida River—especially when your feet need a break and you’d rather linger than rush. If your itinerary is packed, this is the kind of place that adds a gentle pause to the day. Address: 2F, Otsuya Hana-ni Building, 2-16-7 Hanakawado, Taito-ku, Tokyo.

Each group can have a maximum of 2 guests.
You may freely choose your preferred kimono, obi (belt), and accessories. Hairstyling and hair ornaments are also available in a variety of styles, and our staff will carefully style your hair.
All items required for wearing the kimono are provided.
During changing, staff or other customers may be present. If you feel uncomfortable changing in this situation, please wear undergarments (thermal wear is recommended in cold seasons) for convenience.
If you arrive more than 10 minutes late, some styles of obi or hairstyling may be limited. Arriving more than 30 minutes late may require a longer wait, so please be punctual.
Luggage storage is available. Each customer may store one small piece of luggage (suitcase, carry-on) for free. Additional items are ¥1,100 each. Please keep valuables with you.
Accompanying guests who do not rent a kimono may enter with a maximum of 2 people per renting customer. Depending on store conditions, they may need to wait outside.
Prohibited during kimono rental: smoking (including e-cigarettes), wearing perfume, visiting restaurants with strong odors, etc. If staff notice violations, a cleaning fee of ¥3,300 will be charged on the spot.
Please avoid using hair products before arrival, as they may affect curling results or damage hair. Hairstyling involves heated tools — sit upright and look forward, avoid sudden movements to prevent burns.
Late returns will incur additional fees. Next-day return service is available for ¥2,750. ID (passport) is required for next-day returns.
Children are allowed to enter (maximum of 1 child per adult). The store is not responsible for children; guardians must supervise at all times to avoid inconvenience or accidents.
Please note: Any additional fees incurred in the store must be paid in cash only.
Our establishment generally does not admit children. However, exceptions may be made if a parent or guardian takes full responsibility for constant supervision throughout the visit, subject to prior consultation.
